If you're in the area, please go and see this incredible tribute to a man who made his dreams a reality. I can't imagine that I'm going to get to New York to see it so if you go report back and I'll live vicariously through you!
Whatever your fashion beliefs are, art is all about emotion and breaking boundaries that society puts on life and creating pieces that show who you really are - Alexander McQueen did that time and time again - his beliefs being so strong that he portrayed them through his pieces.
Julia Rubin has done a good review of the exhibition here and clearly recommends it. With the pieces shown, his quotes throughout and the music to accompany it, it all makes for a very powerful experience. Here are a few of my favourite pieces of his work that are on show at the exhibition.
Voss - a collection about the different layers of beauty. S/S 2001
It's only a game' this ensemble was inspired by a chess game and represents the Queen. S/S 2005
